Having Cake and Eating it Too

Last night, around 10 oclock we put in our Netflick, Lost Season One, the first DVD, to find it totally scratched and unwatchable. The horror -- no movies to distract us from the gabillion responsible tasks we should be finishing! Alas we decided to bake a cake with home-made frosting. Lo and behold -- we struck gold! Laura/Rob, your lemon bars don't hold a candle to our coconut dream cake. ;)

Getting older

Is this the year I have a mid-life crisis? Maybe it would be good for me to wake up and get moving to whatever it is I have to do to afford health insurance (now that I'm stranded) -- like sell my soul/work for the man. No more of this la vie boheme. I can't be in school forever, unless I work as a teacher, but even that I know is not stable, at least not adjunct teaching.
