So many things to be thankful for

Like has anyone noticed how moccassins and fringed boots are back in style?

WTF?

I just finished reading a large dose of racial stereotyping, which is ironic because the narrator claims not to do such a thing, but then totally does, and maybe that's intended, that is, for the narrator to be flawed in said ways. Honestly, I'd like to give the author the benefit of the doubt, but if you read this story, you wouldn't either.

All Work and No Play Makes Jackie a Dull Girl

Today is just too beautiful to be cooped up inside staring at the computer, so I propose an outing. Another thing, who knows how much longer we will have this unseasonally warm weather, so there's no sense in not enjoying it while we have it!

Trick or Treat

We had as many trick or treaters as we expected last night -- three groups of kids -- and we were very happy to hear them, as they approached our door (which was, if I don't say so myself, awesomely decorated), whisper "ooh we can go to this one," like this place is halloweeen friendly. Only thing was, one of our friendly neighbors, a parent accompanying his kids, said "So this is what you guys do instead of work" like we had way too much time on our hands decorating and dressing up for Halloween. We felt a bit embarrassed but then reveled in it, spending a total of three hours carving our Haunted House pumpkin (all credit goes to Alex)(btw, lola still can't believe we chose the same pattern!) and blew off the rest of the night noshing on sweets and watching a fairly good episode of Laguna Beach and watching the movie Bewitched, which was very funny.
